FRI3SER
FRI3SER is Lucca Fries’ most personal project to date, inspired by his love of alternative rock bands such as Tool, A Perfect Circle and Deftones. His droning and rhythm-driven piano playing fuses with alternative rock and club music. The extended pieces - characterized by immersive piano textures, dark harmonies, distorted bass riffs, and powerful drumbeats - evolve organically and unfold a hypnotic pull. Elements of rave culture, such as morphing beats and tension-filled breaks, bring an electronic energy. Subtle piano preparations further transform the instrument, making it sound almost electronic. The debut album, recorded with Grammy-winning New York producer John Davis, will be released in 2026, offering a unique fusion of jazz, rock, minimal, and club music.
